Francis Zierer
I always wanted to be an author. In college, I thought I was becoming a journalist. By the end, I realized I was studying marketing.
Now I understand it’s all just storytelling — all that’s different is whose story you’re telling and to whom. I’m good at this because I’m cursed with an inability to stop asking questions like “why?” and “can you tell me a bit more about that?”
As a professional, there is one value I hold firm, through which you can understand what it’s like to work with me: work is a social pursuit and as such carries three distinct responsibilties. The first is paramount and contains the second and third.
1. To your customer: deliver a high-quality product that improves their lives.
2. To your employer: bring your best, day in and day out.
3. To your colleagues: push them to be better. Don’t accept “good enough.”
